About Nasreen

Nasreen is a Licensed Psychotherapist (LCSW) and Certified Life and Executive Coach (CPC), specialized in counseling, psychotherapy, and life transition coaching services for individuals, couples, groups, and corporations. Her practice located in Canton, Michigan, focusing on adolescents (teens), young adults (20-30), and adults (30+).


Nasreen received her graduate degree (MSW) from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from Cleveland Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, also Advanced Certification in Professional Coaching (CPC) from The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Additionally, she is also a certified Master Practioner in Energy Leadership Index (ELI-MP), this is an assessment that assesses an individual’s leadership ability and potential. Among her areas of expertise are academic and professional success, cultural identity, life, and career transition, anxiety, depression, anger management, work-related issues, understanding the sources and dynamics of addiction and eating disorder, multicultural growth, family-of-origin and identity, history of past neglect and abuse, parenting issues, Empowering and effective communication, and other positive life changes.


Nasreen’s clinical skills in the field combine with her Life and Executive Coach training, along with her expertise of practical work experience at micro and macro levels, enables her to understand and guide people to achieve greater fulfillment in every aspect of their life. In addition, Nasreen’s undergraduate work in bio-science, and graduate work in psychology and social science influences her work in understanding and determining the biological, psychological, and social effects of human behavior. Lastly, on a personal level, Nasreen’s passion for inclusion, diversity, social, and family justice, in addition to her cultural background along with her personal experiences of overcoming many challenges in her own life, allows her to think and practice “outside the box” of traditional training as a professional.


Nasreen lives in Ann Arbor, MI with her husband and their three children. Having raised in a collectivistic society, Nasreen fosters and understands the importance of community and community supports, she volunteers and contributes in her children’s schools along with various community supports agencies, such as Ellie’s Place, International Hope Center, Girls Group, Mai Family Services, Recycle Treasures, The Women Center for southeast MI and others.
